Iron Sharpens Iron Men’s Conference

I spoke at two ISI Men's conferences over the past month, Akron and Rochester. My workshop offered the unique opportunity to bring teenage guys and seasoned men together. The workshop is designed to get each generation to look at one another with a fresh understanding. The goal is to inspire inter-generational discipleship.

Mailing Campaign

Steve Miller and I, with the help of Bob Britton from CSB’s home office, are ready to launch the first of three mailings that will go out to over 500 churches in northeast Ohio. Pray that this campaign will produce momentum for CSB Ministries, and result in more men discipling our next generation.

End of year newsletter

My end of the year letter is nearly ready to go out. If you are not on my regular mailing list, please email me a request with your address.

Quest for Manhood

My major national project “Quest for Manhood” was released this fall. This revision of our Adventure Trails teen discipleship guide has been rolling off the shelves. You can get a copy from the Brigade Shop.

Thanksgiving

I am continually grateful for all of you who support our ministry through your prayers and financial support. I’m especially thankful for all of the men in the field who are diligently discipling our next generation using the tools of CSB Ministries. Thank you so much!

WE NEED YOU!

WE NEED YOU!
We need the friends of Brigade to help us increase our impact in Ohio.

Steve Miller and I are designing a mass mail campaign to promote CSB Ministries to the churches of Northeast Ohio. The merit of this idea had been backed by local pastors who know us, but there is some research necessary to help in the success of this endeavor.

You can make a big difference in the success of this mission.

Whether you can put fingers to the keyboard and mouse for this project or not, please pray for this project and for the fruit of our labors.

We need several volunteers to look up the churches from our list on the internet to confirm their address, and, most important, find the name of the current pastor. The more churches we can get information on by the end October, the more potential this campaign has.

If you, or someone you know, can give a few, several, or more hours, please let us know ASAP. We will set you up with a list and some direction to help us in this quest. Contact us for details.

Herald of Christ: Noah Smith

Noah Smith was awarded the Herald of Christ achievement at a banquet on July 13th at North-Mar Church of the C&MA. He is a member of North-Mar’s Christian Service Brigade, Battalion Unit 1180.

Noah successfully completed all the requirements necessary to receive the highest honor awarded by Christian Service Brigade. The Herald of Christ award is the culmination of the Battalion achievement discipleship program.

Dale Kinkade, Regional Director for CSB Ministries, presented the award in the presence of family, friends, and members of the church and Battalion.

Noah and his wife Amanda are residents of Kinsman, Ohio. He is the son of Timothy and Tina Smith, and the brother of six siblings. Noah is an avid outdoorsman and loves to work with his hands. He and Amanda were married this past March.

Battalion 1180 is proud of Noah’s steadfast commitment and endurance in this great accomplishment.
