Congratulations Jared Archer and the men of Akron's Hope UMC, Battalion #6859!
Jared Archer was presented the Herald of Christ achievement
award at a ceremony on May 1st at Hope UMC. Jared is a member of
Hope’s Christian Service Brigade, Battalion Unit 6859 and successfully
completed all the requirements necessary to receive the highest honor awarded
by Christian Service Brigade.
Dale Kinkade, Regional Director for CSB Ministries,
presented the award in the presence of family, friends, and members of the
Unit.
The Herald of Christ is designed to help prepare young men
for a life of leadership and service. In September, Jared plans to enter Moody
Bible Institute to prepare for a future in full-time Christian ministry.
Jared is a resident of Barberton, Ohio, the son of Pastor Mark and
Donna Archer, and an active member of Valley Community Church in Norton, where
his father is the pastor.
The communities of both Hope UMC and Valley Community Church
are proud to have worked together to assist Jared in this endeavor.
